The Researcher Magazine is a publication. These terms say what that means when you read it, share it, or write to us.

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms are the magazine’s own statement of use. They are not legal, medical, financial, or institutional advice, and they are not a protocol for repeating an experiment.
They apply to this website. They do not, by themselves, create a research collaboration or a publishing contract.
THE PUBLICATION
What the magazine is
The Researcher publishes articles developed with researchers, and pages that explain how we work.
Articles are written for a general and specialist readership. They are not clinical advice, and they are not a substitute for the paper, the data, or the researcher’s own account.
Research moves. We take time to check facts and to represent complex ideas fairly, as our editorial standards describe. A page can later be corrected or updated. Publication is not a promise that every sentence will remain the last word on a subject.
USE OF THE SITE
Reading, sharing, and interference
There is no reader account. You may read the pages and share links to them.
Do not interfere with the site, probe it for a weakness, or use it in a way that degrades it for other readers.
Do not present our pages, name, or design as your own, and do not imply that the magazine has endorsed a product, paper, or institution unless we have said so.
ELSEWHERE
Links to other sites
Articles and project pages sometimes link to papers, films, and other websites. Those sites have their own terms and their own privacy practices.
A link is a pointer. It is not an endorsement of everything on the destination, and it does not make that site part of The Researcher Magazine.
RESPONSIBILITY
Limits of what a magazine page can carry
The site is provided as a magazine. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a decision you take solely from an article, or for an interruption in the site.
Nothing on this page excludes a liability that cannot legally be excluded, and nothing here chooses a court or a country for you. If a dispute needs a formal legal answer, it has to be handled with the advice that situation requires.
Use of text, images, and names is also covered by our intellectual property page. Information you send us is covered by our privacy policy.
