The writing, editing, headlines, and design of The Researcher Magazine are published here so they can be read.
You may quote a short passage with credit and a link to the page. You may share a link.
Republishing a whole article, copying the site design, or using the magazine’s name as if we had endorsed another project needs permission. Write to us first.
RESEARCH
Researchers and sources
Papers, data, figures, and quotations remain the work of the people and institutions who created them.
An article explains that work. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying research to the magazine, and it does not give readers a licence to reuse figures, data, or photographs that belong to someone else.
If a figure or photograph has its own credit, follow that credit.
IMAGES
What an image is allowed to claim
We will not present synthetic material as genuine research evidence, experimental data, microscopy, medical imaging, photography, or documentary material.
Where an image is illustrative or conceptual, it should not be mistaken for a record of an experiment.
Placeholder frames marked IMAGE on some pages are layout positions, not evidence.
COMMISSIONS
Commissioned work and submissions
When the magazine commissions writing, illustration, or film, that relationship is disclosed in the way our editorial standards describe. A commission is not a claim that the magazine owns the researcher’s science.
If you send a paper, a draft, a photograph, or a description of your work, you keep the rights you already have. Sending it lets us read it and discuss whether an article is appropriate.
We do not publish your material by the mere fact that you sent it. Publication follows the editorial process, including the chance for a researcher to review how their work is represented.
NAMES
The name of the magazine
The Researcher Magazine identifies this publication. Please do not use the name, or the design of this site, in a way that suggests a partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement that does not exist.
